Did you know?

Between 12 and 24 months your toddler’s cognitive development really starts to blossom, this is when they will start to develop memories, as well as understand symbols, imitate, and play imaginatively.

(0 to 15 months)

At Happy Hearts Child Care we endeavour to provide your smallest family member with a warm, safe, and nurturing environment in which they can develop trusting relationships with our passionate and qualified educators.

We strive to nurture each child’s individual growth and development by providing a stimulating play-based program.

Our Educators will work closely with you and your family to personalise a flexible learning journey so we can continually meet yours and your baby’s needs.

We endeavour to provide an environment where our Nursery feels like a home away from home where our environments are calming, warm, and aesthetically pleasing.


(15 months to 2 years)

In the first 2 years of a Toddlers life, their growth and development is expanding. They find excitement and joy in everything they do.

Here at Happy Hearts we provide a safe, supportive and stimulating environment for your toddler so they can explore their surroundings and endure curiosity in the world around them to develop their skills and abilities further.

Our Toddler Environment enhances concepts like flexible routines, independence, kindness, self confidence, communication skills and FUN.


(2 to 3 years)

At Happy Hearts our 2 to 3 year old learners are offered a steady introduction to structured learning, allowing them to be an active participant in their own learning journey.

Our educators support this learning by providing guidance and support as needed and explore their confidence, ideas, and enthusiasm and adapt this learning into our programs and their play space environments.

Our environments enhance a range of curiosity, physical movement, fostering friendships, language, and quiet elements of play.


(3 to 4 years)

We support children’s growing relationships with Educators and the wider community by providing a supportive and welcoming environment.

Our Pre-Kindy children are beginning to develop meaningful friendships with each other which supports their wellbeing and belonging within their environments. At this age they are beginning to learn to take pride in their creations and the environment around them.

They are also developing awareness of risk play and what their limitations may be. Here at Happy Hearts we will support and guide their learning curiosity through play based and structured programs.


(4 to 5 years)

Here at Happy Hearts our Kindergarten programs are tailored to meet the approved Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF) and the Queensland Kindergarten Learning Guideline (QKLG).

We strive to provide Quality play based learning experiences that foster children’s identity, their ideas on learning, negotiation, and risk management.

We understand the balance between routines and flexibility when mapping your child’s individual developmental milestones.

Our Kindy Program provides a Experienced Early Childhood Teacher who will lead a pathway toward school readiness with a structured learning curriculum, while still providing a well-balanced learning environment that also includes rest, play, and FUN!

Play based learning

It is proven that children who are engaged in quality play-based learning experiences are more likely to have a well-developed memory skill set, profound language development and can regulate their own behaviours and emotions. This helps support children for the successful transition to school and the best possible start to their schooling life.
